New suburban with pics!
Hey everyone....
just picked up this 72 suburban with a new 350, and turbo 400 trans. New brakes 360* with hard lines, and no rust! all kinds of cool stuff was done... like 2 gas doors grafted in, tubular trans crossbar/mount, shaved markers, lots of little stuff. New exhaust, lowered with drop spindles on 17" staggered rims. I need interior, and body work... any suggestions? I'm going all stock interior wise... all black. ext will be 2 tone orange and black on top. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: New suburban with pics!
I'll get some more pics tomorrow... interior and better outside shots.
The truck was frame off restored in the 90's so the hard work has been done. It is very clean underneath! Plans: *It will be bagged, Its already c-notched. *Torque thrust 2 style wheels 20's or 22's. *2 tone black on top with either hugger orange or sunset orange on the bottom. *Stock new black interior. New wood floor in the rear cargo area. If not stock than very very custom... I have all the interior from a 2006 cadillac esv.... but I just don't like how tall the seats are, and I like the old school feel of the bench seats. Paint scheme very similar to this, but maybe a lime green accent stripe between the black and orange.

Re: New suburban with pics!
Thanks!
I can't take credit for the nice pics...lol, but I have been wanting to go this route with the paint since 2003. It just wouldn't look right on my swb imo, but on a full body suburban I think it will look great!

Re: New suburban with pics!
I personally dig the orange/black paint combo's, mainly because I like the contrast but it's also Harley Davidson's scheme. So, beware of that since people will probably mention HD when they see the colors on your rig.

Re: New suburban with pics!
It had a 67 front clip that the p.o. used for another build... unfortunately, he took the paint with it

Re: New suburban with pics!
This thing is static dropped, and its Friggin LOW!!!
I need some 20s or 22s soon. I want the boss 338 wheels, but I will wait until they get their crap together and make a wheel that fits with no issues. If anybody has a set of 18s they wanna trade... these wheels have brand new tires, not even 100 miles on them and there are five! 3 front wheels, and 2 rear.. they are staggered. 17x10 rear, and 17x8.5 fronts.

Re: New suburban with pics!
Check the Boss 338 group buy in the main 67-72 section. From my understanding they revised the wheel so it fits the 71-72 center bore

Thank you! Yeah I'm with you on the tail lights.... I will stick with the stocks. I also won't be having that horrible tribal pattern painted on my truck That is a great way to date a restoration. HA!

Re: New suburban with pics!
It was going to be frame mounted sideways like the newer trucks... but that idea was scrapped and now I have a second fuel door
I am going to cut it out and graft in some sheet metal to clean that eye sore of a second door.

Re: New suburban with pics!
btw, are you sure that's a 72? It's got a 67-70 gas pedal, and the rear view isn't glass mounted, it's roof mounted like a 67-71
