Cool P/s rebuild

Oem power steering pump I want to rebuild vs replacing, how hard is it to rebuild p/s pump. Its empty two days after filling it up. Leak is pretty bad, tried lucas didn't work. Any advice/experience is sincerely apprciated. Thanks.

Where's the leak coming from? Is the pump still making good enough pressure for the steering assist to work when it is full of fluid?

Yeah, it works fine when full, but I have to keep adding fluid every other day or so, if it sits. Does it make sense to rebuild? Pretty sure its leaking at the seal. Thanks.

interesting thread. I am not losing pressure or fluid, but have a annoying rattle in the pump and am wondering if you can rebuild these babys easily?

I think the hardest part is pressing out the shaft bushing. The pumps are simple and most leaks are just o-rings on the can. There's a great how to on the internet.

Google rebuild gm PS pump and you'll find it in a few minutes...
