Transmission Swap??
I have a four speed manual SM465 on a small block 305. I want to get a fifth gear if possible. Are there any 5 speed manual transmissions that will bolt to a small block 305?

Either go with the NV-4500 or the lighter duty NV-3500 will work.

Been thinking a little more about this today. For the price of either of those transmissions and getting them in your truck, you could get a gear vendors overdrive and set that up too.
