My new burb and I have a few ????

I got this 70 of a guy who got it from some guy. But someone as been working on it. seems lowered but not sure how much and idea? Tire size is 275/60/15. Most pictures I see of 70's have a different front clip this looks more like 68, did suburbans lag behind in facelifts like the did in later models or did someone change it out? Thanks for all the help. Im sure I will have many more questions as I start to fix her up a bit more.

Re: My new burb and I have a few ????

Just guessing here but it looks to be about a 2.5-3" drop on the front and maybe 4" in the back. The front clip looks to be from a 67, 67-68 had this style front clip and most early year 67's had no side marker lights.

Re: My new burb and I have a few ????

68 to 72 all had front and rear marker lights (only 67 didnt) Thats probably a 2.5 spindle-only drop, and you'll probably find lowering blocks to measure in the rear.

Re: My new burb and I have a few ????

I like it! Sweet Burb. And the red, white, and gray paint scheme almost makes me think "classic AMC" haha! I like the '67 clip. So, what are your plans for it?!?

Re: My new burb and I have a few ????

Thanks for the info. I will have to get the vin and some interior pics.
My plan.......few ideas I like black on top and orange on bottom, but don't care about it being HD colors. It was orange originally best I can tell scratching thur the layers. But it has a maroon interior so someone reprinted in and out to white. I also like leave white ontop with orange with some white walls. If I don't want to repaint inside now so I can get painted ASAP. I got 3rows of seats out of a 99 Burb but may try to find some newer seats with the seatbelts built in.
It has a newer crate 350 with 8000 miles so I have been told. Should be fun to see it all come together.

In my never ending search for a Burb during the last few months I remember seeing that one for sale on Craigslist.
