Drop spindle question
i have a 67 c10 but have 5 bolt axles, my front axle has disk brakes, i changed calipers and 1972 calipers matched up with what i was taking off so should i be safe in using 1972 for drop spindles?

Re: Drop spindle question
You can use spindles for 71-72 or 73-87....the later model ones use a different tie rod end. IIRC the calipers are the same for both versions...so that probably isn't a good indicator of what you have now. I'd order the 71-72's and if they don't work return 'em and get the 73-87 style.

Re: Drop spindle question
71-72 and 73-87 spindles are different.
The calipers will work on either IF the rotors are 1-1/4" wide. There is also 1" wide light duty rotor for the 81-87 trucks. These take a different spindle, rotor, caliper, and bearings. Your upper balljoint and outer tie rods will determine which spindles you have. Do you have any pics of you suspension? Spindle area and a-arm pics? Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Drop spindle question
Do you have steel "screw-in bushings on the a-arms or rubber bushings.
Thos are definitely standard spindles.
