Headlights
I am going to do the headlight relay conversion on my GMC. Are the low beam lights more or less watts on high beam than the high beam lights? Can I put low beam lights in all 4 buckets so I have 4 lights on high and on low? A little more light on dim would be nice.

I don't know about the watts but I think the relay conversion will give you more light on high and low both. I would go ahead and do the conversion and see if it improves the low beam light before I changed anything else.... Just my 2¢ worth. LockDoc

Re: Headlights
You're keeping the stock sealed-beam headlamps? Not sure of the wattage but I'm pretty sure they're less than H4 conversions, which are 55W (low) / 60W (high) for standard bulbs.
You could run dual-filament (high / low) in your high-beam buckets, just need to run a third wire and of course get 3-prong connectors. The only issue would be other drivers (including cops) seeing 4 lamps on and thinking you're on high beam.

Also, where can I buy plug-ins with 10 or 12 gauge wire instead of 18 gauge? I assume the low beam plug-ins are the same as Chevy ones? |

Re: Headlights
NAPA has (or had) connectors with heavier pigtails, possibly 12 gauge.
