72 GMC burb with 67 hood...how?
Hey guys. I've been gone for quite a while, but now I finally have the time to work on my burb again. I need help from someone who has actually done this. I have a 72 GMC burb and have a 67 hood. I was told on a GMC you can do this by simply removing the grille trim and using 67 GMC latch and latch support. Are the radiator supports themselves different? Any help would be great.

Re: 72 GMC burb with 67 hood...how?
I really appreciate the help. I've actually seen that thread, and it pertains to Chevrolets only. 69-72 GMC grilles have a removable upper moulding, that I was told if removed then the 67-68 hood would fit, and simply use a latch and support from a 67-68. I would simply try it out on my suburban, but i dont have a radiator support or a 67-68 hood in the shop. Has anyone done this on a spefically?

Sorry for the mix up.
I think the hood would go past the end of the fenders. Keep us posted !

Re: 72 GMC burb with 67 hood...how?
Your thinking is almost correct. you would need a 67-68 GMC upper grill filler panel to replace the upper 69/72 version moulding, a 67-68 hood latch and grill support and your good to go.. The difference in the GMC core supports are the 67-68 ones had bolt holes across the bottom to attach the splash apron..

Thank you so much for the right direction. I have been asking around for years.
