bench seats

Hello, all. The seat in my 67 was ragged out bad.A big hole where I sat. Then Im at a junkyard and find a C50,60 with a dirty bench in good shape.Got it for $25.After installing the seat in my C10 Im happy, cleaned up great! Then I got in and sat down, my head about hit the roof.Im looking out the windshield right at the top of the glass.Im 6ft1". Are the seats for the bigger trucks meant to be this high? Any thoughts? I appreciate all replies. Muley

Re: bench seats

I'm pretty sure they are the same. I bought a newly reupholstered seat with original style foam off Craigslist. I have the same problem as you. How may miles did the truck have? The seat may not have been sat on very much.

Re: bench seats

Sir,the truck I got the seat from was a cab sitting on the ground at the jy. I had to drag it around to get the pass door open to get to the bolts.I dont remember the mileage, could have been there a long time by how dirty the seat was.Maybe I could remove some of the material (padding)to lower it some, prolly not.At this height I need to lean over to see a red light or stop wayy back. The cab was from a bigger truck, C40/70 type.Thanks. Re: bench seats

The inside dimensions of the bigger cabs are the exact size as the pickups. In our high mile feed truck, your sitting on the floor. On our lower mile grain truck, your through the roof.
