Odd truck pic found

Anybody ever seen one of these? Were they for airport use or just for towing heavy loads?

I've seen them for mobile homes and as airport tugs. Different makes but same style.

Re: Odd truck pic found

Looks like the front rims are only 5 lug. Was an odd pic I came across, just never seen one. Bet it'll pull the foundation out from under a house.

Re: Odd truck pic found

Another member had a very recent post about a truck like this with no pics. I just borrowed your photo and dropped it there for reference. Nice find.

Re: Odd truck pic found

Looking at it again, I'd bet it is a mobile home mover. Look at the spare tire.

you are right on the money for sure.that was back in the day when many states had length laws which expalins the super short wheelbase and of course the 5 lug front wheels and of course the spare for the mobile home.

its nice to see one of these again.

Re: Odd truck pic found

This would be a great truck to convert to 4WD using Rockwell axles.

Re: Odd truck pic found

What an odd looking truck. I bet its a nightmare on a really bumpy road with that wheelbase.

Re: Odd truck pic found

Better have a good seatbelt, sure would be a rough ride, with that short wheelbase. I would say it was used for moving mobile homes also.

Re: Odd truck pic found

I'd give almost anything to find one of those. I'm an Airport Manager and that would bring my 2 passions together! We have lots of small tugs on the airport, but that would be King of the Hill!
