Used truck buyers guide
Can you guys help me out with an online truck buyers guide? The wife and I are going to look at trading her Jeep off on an Extended cab Chevy and I would like to know what kind of ballpark I can expect to pay for the truck as well as what I can expect for a trade in value

dubie
www.nada.com www.kbb.com www.edmunds.com I have not paid more than $500 over invoice on any Chevy in 10 years. Most of the time, I have only offered them invoice. Work out your deal on your new purchase before you discuss your trade. Keeps the dealer honest! The links above are decent resources for new and used values. I usually use all three and average their values out. Good luck! |

Thanks guys. The dealer we are going to buy from is where we have bought 2 of our previous vehicles from, and I also used to work for him. This guy is so honest he's almost like another Ned Flanders
According to those books, he's right in the ball park for this truck Thanks again for your speedy replies

dubie,
I don't know if chevy has the same incentives as they do in the U.S., but i just sold my 2000 truck and replaced it with a 2003 duramax that listed for 42800 and i wrote my check out for 33500 with sales tax. The dealers seem to be hurting now, and they will really deal. FYI dealers have what is called "hold back" which is extra profit they make from GM, so that is how they can sell them under invoice. My truck's invoice was 37230. I have always traded trucks in on new ones. But this last time i sold mine outright and, to the best i can figure, i came out ahead about 3500-4000. just something to think about, David
