Another fuel tank question

Howdy y'all

I am trying to pull the fuel tank out of my cab. I took the straps off from around the tank, thinking that would do it, still rock solid. do the two brackets that are under the tank bolted to the floor have to come out? If so , how do you get to the bolts that hold those down. Please help an old fool out!

Re: Another fuel tank question

I had to remove mine too. After you remove the traps you need to pry on it a bit. The apoxey they origonaly used to hold the tank sticks to it from years of it being straped an dosent want to let it come out. The filler neck will need to be taken off too so that it comes out easier. I replaced the claps on the filler neck with worm clamps but thats up to you. Hope this helps

Re: Another fuel tank question

Be careful with those straps.
Mine were loose, but still laying over the tank.
When I pulled on the tank, one swung up and slapped me in the face.
