frame drilling
I was reading a very comprehensive build thread when I came to the place where the builder had to drill some holes from below into the "C" notch. He used an engine hoist to turn the frame on its side for access. But, drilling holes in the bottom of the frame is the easiest of frame holes to drill.

That is certainly easier than a face full of filings. Thanks for sharing for anyone that hasn't seen this technique yet. For frame holes under an inch in diameter, I've also found it much easier to use "step drills" instead of multiple bit changes with conventional drill bits. It saves a ton of time, makes cleaner holes, and reduces the risk of chipping large expensive bits.
