Rear parking brake cables
I am working on restoring a 72 chevy cheyenne longbed. I have the bed off of the truck and working on removing the control arms. I wondering if there is a easy way to remove the parking brake cables from the control. I have removed the c clip but the cable still will not come out. Thanks for your help.

Re: Rear parking brake cables
If I understand your question, you are having trouble getting the rear cables off of the trailing arms. I assume that you have the intermediate cable disconnected. If so the cables can be driven rearward as they stick in the holder sometimes. Once the cable are so far to the rear they can be removed as the holder is slotted.
The cables are pretty stiff and need some force to move them backwards once they are away from the holder. Jim
