Rear Gear parts-where to buy?
I found out that my 12 bolt is in not so good shape, lots of gear fragments and chips out of the pinion and ring gear, my only guess is prior abuse, not really from me or poor materials used. So where is the best place to get the best products at the best prices? I have looked at Summit, Jeggs, Motive gear and Randy's ring and pinion but want to make a good decision here. I am not going to try this myself, no tools or knowledge. I will probably remove the whole rear end and take it to a local company to put all new ring and pinion, master kit etc. I dont think I need a posi unit though. So let me here it guys...

richmond, motive, yukon are all good sets just stick with a good quality set and not the generic knock offs

Re: Rear Gear parets-where to buy?
I bought a new oem Dana 44 gearset from these guys. I'm pretty sure I also bought a used carrier from them with guaranteed good bearings. Their pricing was better than I could find anywhere else, and they were prompt and helpful in answering my questions. Don't know if they have what you need, but I was certainly pleased with the experience.

Re: Rear Gear parets-where to buy?
X 10 on Randy's. I have bought a few thousand sets of gears and master kits etc. from them over the years. God stuff and good prices and they back their stuff 100%. Their gears set up really nice every time and run good and quiet. I put them in daily drivers, rock crawlers, 9 sec. drag cars etc. Customer service is great too(Darren anyway, he's the only one I ever dealt with and he stopped by the shop where I worked just to say hi one year on his way to Moab. Great guy).

Randy's Ring and Pinion
that a few people mentioned. Also, check out the Vendors Marketplace and ask around in there. FYI: Most of the bigger vendors sell replacement parts for the rear end. -W |

Re: Rear Gear parts-where to buy?
I ordered 3.73:1 for 3 series carrier along with the rebuilt kit from Summit. Now I have to save my $ for the actual labor to pull it out and set it up.
