Blazer gas tank

I'm looking for the filler neck on a 71' Blazer gas tank. The main filler tube with the bends going into the tank.

Re: Blazer gas tank

Are you talking about the pre molded hose?

Re: Blazer gas tank

No it's the 1 3/8 steel tube coming out of the tank itself.

Re: Blazer gas tank

I can't find a replacement with a quick search but I didn't dig out the catalogs.

Generally guys fit the tank and then make their own neck using exhaust pipe, the top part of the filler neck out of the truck's tank and a piece of gas filler hose from the parts house. You buy the hose by the inch at most Napa stores. I didn't save the filler door on a Dodge van that I junked out a few years ago for my 71 and now I need to go cut one out at the wrecking yard. I don't want the filler in the bed or in the top rail of the bed because I have a canopy that I run at times.

Re: Blazer gas tank

Yea I think that is what I'll have to do. It was my first thought but I've been trying to find the original part. Can't figure why they don't make the "new replacement tanks with it. Is that stupid or just me ?
