Picture request please! ('72)

Hi!

Could someone please show me a picture of the little screws that hold the top of the 72 doors together and the little grommet that goes in the hole?

This is the hole just underneath the post for the vent window, and I believe is peculiar to just the 72 doors!

Thanks very much!

The 72 doors have the screw as reenforcement and they are about 2" long with a chrome plated metal sleeve. I can take a pic tonight if no one posts one in the meantime. This will get your request to the top, at the least.

Jim,

Thanks! I have the doors, I have the screws. I DON'T have the sleeve, and the screws really don't work without them <g>

Are these the ones that you are talking about? A piece of 1/4" stainless steel tubing 5/8" long and a flaring tool, you can make your own. Like my new bar stools...LOL WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Nice pics WES!

I was also wondering if you could make them from stainless steel tubing. It sounds like you have been doing it for awhile.

Actually I haven't. I am going to buy some tubing and give it a try though. If I perfect it, then maybe I will put them up for sale on my site. By the way, I have two of these bar stools... LOL WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Talking

WES,

I looked through all of the sources for parts that I have and came up empty on the ferrules. It might be very helpful for guys with 72's to have a source for these as most are somewhat rusted.

(At least in this area).
