5x5 and 6x5.5 Steel Wheel
Has anyone ever seen a 5x5 and 6x5.5 combo Steel Wheel. I am running two different lug patterns at the moment due to my disc brake conversion and would like to avoid having two spares... it may not even be possible because the stud holes overlap, I havent checked yet.

Re: 5x5 and 6x5.5 Steel Wheel
I carried an adapter until I had the rear axles repatterned to 5x5, although I can't remember which spare wheel it fit. I've never seen a combination wheel having a pattern for both 5 & 6 lugs. As predicted, one stud interfered between the two bolt circles on the adapter and required a special offset stud.

Re: 5x5 and 6x5.5 Steel Wheel
thou seekest disk brake nirvana. As with the great Yeti, alas, it does not exist grasshopper. So, join the club with the rest of us disk brake wanna be's and begin your life-long search for a set of 71+ K10 wheels! My search ended today, happily. Home boy found three 6 lug/5.5 mid-70's K10 steelies in Chino and order the remaining two (for 4 plus a spare) from 69Beauty over on the 67-72 side of the house. Unfortunately, now I'm broke and can't afford the disk brakes for a while!@#$% Now, what this has to do with solving your problem (of a 5 and 6 lug combo), I have no idea, but I'm so happy I could squirt kool-aid.
But seriously.... Better yet, I'd recommend the 5 lug conversion to your rear axles, solve the whole enchilada. Here's what I would do: http://www.classicperform.com/Store/...k/6364RACK.htm (but that's just me - I'd prefer this kit to swapping a junkyard 5on5 rear end in). |
