Kit Camper

In case anyone has been wondering what I've been up to I bought a fifth wheel travel trailer that needed a little work and it turned in to a much bigger project than I expected, imagine that It's almost ready to use, just a little trim left. Here are a few pics.
I had no idea what I was getting myself into...

It was a little more rotten than I thought.

Re: Kit Camper

All good wood now...

It took some creative blocking to get the walls back on top of the floors.

Re: Kit Camper

I had to replace the very back section of the ceiling as well.

New insulation...

Bead board...

And the dinette back in with some new laminate wood floors. I still need to trim the floors and a few other small things but we'll be able to use it soon!

The bulk of the damage was from water intrusion in the back right corner. I think it was poorly maintained and that's the corner the A/C water drains to so it was all running in the wall and on to the floor.

Re: Kit Camper

I have been looking for a small travel trailer, so I could restore/rebuild it, not a huge job! but I havent found what I am looking for yet. I seen some canned hams and some in the late 50's through the 70's, under 16' but most I have seen are way over my price point. If you see anything, let me know.
