Welcome to America, the land of Chinese junk!!

I feel your pain with trying to find American made parts.

An ole school rad shop should be able to recore it as long as the tanks are good.

I don't know if it'll make you feel any better, that Chinese junk was more than likely made with U.S. steel sold at a minimum and repurchased at a premium.

Try calling Summit Racing. They have Be Cool radiators and probably don't list one for your truck on the website but you can always call and ask.

Not a problem. Try Mattson's Custom Radiators, Stanton CA. I've got one in my truck and I love it.

The OP wanted one in the S Cal area. These are two that I know of. May be close, with shipping.

I have the Coolcraft in my 69, and so far no issues. They had a long delivery though. Made to order.

Mine was made by Topeka Radiator many years ago... I pulled it out of an old 60's C60 grain truck in 2004 and paid 20 bucks for it. Topeka Radiator is still in business but I'm not sure if they are still manufacturing their own line of radiators...

Re: How hard is it to buy a Radiator made in USA ?

Interesting topic here. I was let go at work because the American Contracting company I was working for here in Canada has decided to replace us with American work force. So in my own Country, I'm being put out, so someone from the States can take over my job. We sell our oil converted to gasoline cheaper to the States than in our own country. We sell our electricity cheaper to the States than our own citizens then by it back at a higher rate when there's a crunch. 84% of Canada Gross National Products are sold to the States.
Before Free Trade, we had tariffs on goods that were brought and sold into Canada. Now the American Companies that once produced products here for Canadians are closing their plants and opening new plants or manufacturing the same products State side and shipping the finished products here.
Only a matter of time before the big takeover! That's right, there's talk of merging the two countries together. Since they write on the globe" North America " will we all be known as North Americans instead of Americans and Canadians? "The times they are a changing"
Buy American Canada! Soon we'll have no choice, and no economy! Then like every other time in history, the world as we know it, will split once again.

My apologies for the rant, Just having to deal with change.

I hope you have a better experience with the US Radiator order dept than I did. I finally reached the point of total frustration and cancelled the order.
