must sell truck

Hey guys,

I’m selling my 69 Chevy lwb 2x4, it has original (to my knowledge) 350 with a powerglide. Factory air (doesn’t work). It has a little blow by but from what I can tell doesn’t leak while sitting, trans needs a new seal, but works great. I had it sitting in east texas for a couple of months, didn’t even disconnect the battery. It fired up on the third attempt and drove all the way to Ft. Collins, CO. Ran between 65 and 70 mph but did use 6 quarts of oil. Everything else you can see here. If you have any questions feel free to contact me by e-mail or @ (970) 493-3200. btw I’m in northern Colorado, near Cheyenne, WY. Let me know what you think would be a fair price.
Thanks
Chris

toys

Had to ask! I just got done telling Jim last night that I'm usually only on the board while I'm at work, that way the wife is none the wiser! (until I drag something home!)

If you looking for a nice truck, I happen to have a '68 gold Chevy for sale. lol. Actually I just sold it to jbarlow yesterday. I held out as long as I could on it. Decided to clean up the yard a little. But then I also spoke to Jim and am buying his red '67 if it runs good. I could use a cheap truck with a ladder rack. Take care!

not sure as of the price, don't know what it would go for up here. i am, however, a little disapointed in the estimate of 900-1300. i would be willing to talk to anybody about it, and all are welcome to come and see. i do not have another day off until the 10th, next wednesday. let me know

I sold a truck simular to that one for 2500, but the motor ran good and no smoke. I would estimate that it is worth 1800 on the low end if it is as straight as it looks. If it is rust free it would be worth more.

yes that is rust but i believe it is just the part that sticks up. it doesn't go into the cab. there are two other spots of rust.

the driver and passenger side under cowl

and in pass rocker. the rocker can be easily fixed the metal around it seems to be good. under the cowl needs a little dremeling, and a fiberglass patch. the kick panel vents were rusted out so i removed them and cut out 1/16" patch panels.

Chris (TexasTruck)

I don't mean to insult you, but here in CO, you can find clean rust free trucks for that. My resto project didn't have a dent or rust on an original '68, with 70k original miles. I gave $2500 for it. I have sold two other rust free trucks for less than $2000, and just sold a rust free (some body dents) '68 with a running 327 for $1000. Like I said, I don't mean to offend, but just wanted to share my experience with you here in CO. Boytoytrading in the Springs comes across decent trucks cheap weekly. Good luck!
