My son at almost 4 can take anything off the floor and turn it into a gun or a sword. I just hope we are not loosing the battle!

Sorry.....don't know where that came from.
Amen, couldn't have said it better myself! Seems like kids these generations are brought up to like chevy volts and prius hybrids. All the classic trucks [like yours & mine] are treated like ozone depleating trash. It makes me sick. Seems like all they care about are their video games, i-pod, cell phones, crapbook and other forms of their digital society. My boy is 11 and he wants my 77 Grand Prix for his first car. He knows the value and history of a classic more than some 30-year olds now days. Sorry for the rant, off my soapbox now. Joseph

Not to mention the rise of 'practicality', which took a lot of the soul out of vehicles. A car is now just a utensil, like a toaster. It looks similar and will also plug into a wall socket in your garage.
Very well said sir!!

Re: Superbowl Chevy commercial

I traded a 84 El Camino for the 76 K10 I have now, I thought the short bed would be easier to sell. My Wife, 5yr old son and I took the truck to a big car, truck and tractor show back in September. As I was parking the truck in the show and putting a For Sale sign on it a guy started asking about it. My wife took our son and walked off so the guy and I could talk. When I found caught up with them, my son was on the ground, face in the dirt crying telling his Mom "She just doesn't understand!!!". After calming him down I figured out that he was upset because I was trying to sell "his" truck out from under him. So I guess I have a 76 K10 for another 11yrs. I can't tell you how many posts on here I have read where guys are still upset because their fathers sold a car or truck out from under them, I don't want to do that to my son. CHEVY RUNS DEEP!!!
