If you need to get solid motor mounts, don't. Just build an engine plate.
Rubber mounts are fine most of the time, and you can always go oldschool with torque straps if it really tweaks.
Poly mounts are a nice compromise and offer longevity.
I've "filled" mounts before as well; mostly dog-bone style but may work for others. You can but a 3m compound and shoot it into the mounts. It hardens into a urethane type form. Works well for about $30.
