why not use the 6 lug stock swap and run six in front with disk...I did looks and works great.

thats the plan. Been working on gathering all the pieces necessary for it. I just need the drop spindles.

ahh i didnt use drop spindles. used stock uppers and 3/4 ton lowers with 2000 van spindle

Here is some long needed progress. I am sure most know how life seems to slow these things down. But I finally got my welder and hopefully I will start strong on it now.

got it braced up and ready:

Not to sure why I took so much metal off on this side and created that gap, but I got channel on the inside so I can weld it up nice and strong:


The duct tape was to cover up the vin while I welded. Its all I had. I still have to do the passenger side today. I learned that I cant weld very good in tight places (to low too). Th inside of the frame on the drivers side looks like crud. I am going to lift the frame up on some sawhorses today to tackle the passenger side, that way I am a little more in a comfortable position, hopefully it helps out some.
