Re: Anybody need any Accuair parts?

I have a question, do you guys carry those slick little push-in adaptors to run hardlines into the vu-4 ?
There was a pic of them on here somewhere, Ive tried getting hold of accuair about them but have got nothing back so far.

Thanks

Re: Anybody need any Accuair parts?

I looked all over for the fitting you are talking about. Can't find any pics. I have seen them before and they are pretty trick. I'll see if maybe Accuair has an answer on this.

We just got these adapter fittings in for going to hard line with the VU4. They are Stainless Steel and list for $15 each (Part # AA-FT-38TM14PM). Keep in mind that with the new 1/4" pipe fittings on the backside of the VU4, you should only need this adapter for the inlet.

Re: Anybody need any Accuair parts?

Jason,

I have a question about the EXO Mount system. It says on the Accuair website that it is configurable for either a 3 or 5 gallon tank. My question is; what diameter of tank will the EXO clamps accommodate. I presume that Accuair figures most all 3 and 5 gallon tanks are similar in diameter, but want to make sure it will work with what I have.

also, are you going to be offering any sort of introductory special on these?????

Thanks!
Drew

Re: Anybody need any Accuair parts?

They buy the 3 and 5 gallon tanks from us. So if you get them from either us or them, then you should be good. Otherwise our tanks are 6.5" in diameter.

Also, I'll get some sort of price going on them. I'm sure we can work on some sort of deal.

Re: Anybody need any Accuair parts?

Thats a good idea, obviously it leaves the vu-4 exposed to the elements if mounted on the underside of the vehicle, I had planned to make a road cover for mine but is this necessary ?
The unit is well out of the way of any splash from tyres etc and would just be general mist and grit it would be exposed to.

Thanks

The VU4 is weather proof. We have seen them caked with mud on 4wd trucks and still perfectly operational. The only benefit to mounting them enclosed is if you are in a freezing climate. Keeping them warmer reduces icing issues.

Re: Anybody need any Accuair parts?

Here is the pic that you guys are referring too with the hard line attachments.

I also attached the pic of my electrical box that contains the VU-4 valve and
ECU. The two black braided flex lines feed both inlet ports on the valve block. You can see the four black plastic 3/8 lines feeding to the inside of the frame rails and routed to the bags. the single large, braided black harness is all the electrical wiring routed down the inner frame rails. the box is tucked up behind the rear wheel under the bed.

Eventually I want to replace the plastic lines with hard lines and these fittings that are being discussed. This would allow for a cleaner look, with all hard lines routed into and out of the box.
I would need a longer stem on the fitting to use these without replumbing the electrical box.

Re: Anybody need any Accuair parts?

you can get them from www.mcmaster.com under compression fittings I dont have the part # off hand but if you need it I can get it for you. I have the that type of fitting but at angled and different lengths. they fit the PTC fittings perfect and a few more to choose from if you want variety to set it up how you want to.
