cross members to cut?
Ok, I know the guys that have already done this are tired of seeing these posts, but you're all so helpful. Whick of these cross members have to come out to put in the blazer type tank?
PO had put in this crazy hitch receiver and now it all has to be cut out, very nice welding job though I must say.

I recently installed a poly blazer tank and did not remove any cross member. It fit between number 2 and 3. Depending on where you want your fuel filler to be you may need to remove # 3 to allow it to sit back behind the bed cross member.

I have the same setup as you do in the pic. I took out #3 and the bar that goes thru 2 and 3. so the shape of a "T". Early classic has a rear crossmember that will bolt in just like the one you took out to replace. Its nice not having to reweld a new one back in. Plus, you can unbolt it if you need to get access under the bed, where the welded one would need to be cut out again.

wow, i had the same hitch setup on my truck. to bad the po (dope smoking old man) was my dad. lol.
