31x10.50 tires on 6.5" rims - any experience
Wanting to run 31x10.5 tires on my new to me 6.5" aluminum wheels.
Is this a bad idea? Have done some searching and found both opinions. I have a pick of the rims in my other thread: Help ID factory aluminum 2WD rims Anyone with real world experience on there truck. I am running a 86 Shortbed 2WD |

Maybe I should go with 30x9.5
Too bad because 31's are much more common to find around here! Any other opinions about this? Thanks |

I had 31 X 10.5 X 15's on my 6 inch stock wheels for awhile with no problems

That should be absolutely fine. I'm doing the same thing but on a much larger scale (38x15.50's on a 16x10). I've never had a single problem.

That wont be a problem at all. Guys run 12.50 tires on 8 inch rims all the time.

I talked to a tire guy here and he also said it wouldn't be a problem |
