Talking Got the Blue's

Paint review:

Painted some interior parts today with Eastwood's Dark Blue Pearl Urethane, Very Close to original color. It's Kirker Automotive Paints - http://www.kirkerautomotive.com/html/our_products.html

Sand it in a few days with 1500/2000 then second coat and clear.
Shoots super easy, looks nice a shootable gallon runs $119 with activator.
And super easy to clean up with a little Acetone.
Very happy with it's durability on previous projects.

Shooting the rest of the 68 SWB in a lighter 69 LeMans blue.
Time to wet sand....sand.......sand!

Looks like a cool project!

So the interior is going to be a darker color than the outside, or are you just accenting a few of the interior parts?

Neat! You must have the rare dual glovebox option.

Yep one of the glove boxes was the test panel for gun setup.
Shooting more today... Now I look like a smurf!!!!

Interior and body is a lighter shade of blue originaly, you can see the color on the firewall in the engine photo.
Darker blue accents are like original parts, the ones I shot yesterday.

Re: Feeling Blue - Eastwood's Urethane Blue pearl that is.

It looks a little darker in some pictures. I been looking for a blue for my next project which is going to be Blue and Silver Two Tone much like my Oldest Sons black and silver pickup we are just about done with. I really like the cost of that paint and the shade I was looking at where I buy my paint was $500 for a gallon of just the paint (Arrival Blue Metalic PPG). I guess that in the mix of the paint its almost half Red so thats what makes it so expensive. Thanks for posting the pics, It looks great.

Re: Feeling Blue - Eastwood's Urethane Blue pearl that is.

I also used Kirker Paint. It turned out real well......

It's the second truck I've done with Kirker. Very affordable. Not everyone can afford $2000 or more just for paint material, especially when we did 3 coats base, 3 coats Orange Candy and 3 coats clear.

Soon2blaze!

Actually did all the interioir work myself.
Purchased the Buddy bucket covers online thru Manes's truck parts.
They are the only ones who stocked the original "bright blue" Yes - buddy buckets seat covers!

That is a nice blue! I'm going to paint the Blazer a little darker color. Is the Kirker paint all pretty much around that price? I'm looking for one with a metal flake in it. I'd like the 2003 Chevy Indigo Blue.
