1971 Steering Column - Diagram, Part List, Suppliers

My shifter is kicking out of park. My mechanic (I have to go to work now and cannot do it all myself) says that the rod keeping the linkage in park is worn out.

My usual suppliers wants to sell me a complete column, but I was hoping to just fix the rod.

Does anyone have a column diagram, part list and supplier for a 1971 with automatic transmission?

Update:
I got my truck back from my mechanic. It appears that the flange on the tail of the column comes in touch with the linkage. There must have been a hump mechanism there that is worn out. I can feel a burr on the tip but can't see what is worn-out or missing.
