67-68 Parking Brake
Anyone rebuilt their stock parking brake?? Mine was worked over by some idiot with no clue before I got it. All new rear system with rear parking brake cables, new intermediate cable. Cables all same length as the old ones. Did not replace the front one YET! Setup appears to be to short by about 3-4 inches. Don't know if the adjuster rod on the front cable was cut off or they just broke it. Had a jury rigged piece of metal where the equalizer should have been and the parking brake did not work. I am wondering what the stock length of the threaded portion of the front cable to brake lever should be?? I think this is the problem but don't know for sure. Any suggestions or a measurement of the threaded portion of the stock cable under the truck would be helpful.
