First things first , Results are awsome , Did you use epoxy , jb weld or what to glue them together.

I used and acrylic cement. It's number 16 on this list. Similar to model glue, it melts the two pieces together for a super strong hold.

Update. I won a ebay listing for the trim pieces.
Before:  With the freshly painted trim pieces:    Also, found a '78 license plate in the garage.
