1968 c10 stepside...in uk...
hi guys,im in the uk and just got my first truck at 39yrs old...lol...
its a 68 stepside been of the road since 2003...its been pro streeted ish,the previous owner has fitted jaguar irs rear clip,and jaguar front suspension clip,on inspection it really could do with a new cab as its rotten,the inner front of the windscreen is gone where sun visors go,the top of dash one side is holey,the roof corner is holey and rusty,sills and pillar bottoms are rotten,cab corners are gone,rear window panel split along seem,rad cowl panel rotten at bottom,front grill valence panel rotten...are you getting the picture... in uk there dont seem to be many of these so there are no spares,i am waiting and waiting for classic parts to give me a price for some repair panels shipped to uk,got a qoute of brothers truck and its more to ship than the parts...590 dollars shipped...is there anyone on the forum thats in the uk and has some parts that could help???cheers... |

CRIMEY!! That cab is rough!
Have you looked into having a (relatively) rust free cab shipped from across the pond? I know there have been a couple forum members that have, one guy in northern europe and another in NZ. |

hi i asked a couple of folks over here,and they said a bare cab would be $1000 maybe more and shipping would be £600.00-£1000.00,plus 5% import duty and 20% vat,a lot of money...????then i would still need front valance/grill,bonnet etc etc... the panels to weld the cab up are 360$ from classic car parts but i am stttttillllll waiting for a reply...
