What can you tell me about the hub caps? They appear to be 73-up. Are they original or has someone cut the centers out? 1/2 or 3/4 ton?

nu2-72,

I can't confirm they are original. They were on a 2wd when I bought it. They have not been cut, I do know that. I also can't tell you if they are 1/2 or 3/4 ton. Sorry for the lack of info.

hubcaps

Not sure if those are original gm hubcaps but definitely 73 and up 15" 4X4 caps, the centers were not cut out. Anybody can correct me but I believe originals for our years would have blue bow ties.

I know that they are not original for 67-72. I meant original 4x4 for 73-up. I am sure of the years but not the shape. I have seen the rear caps with the centers cut out to fit the front hubs. But these are two different shapes. I'm still learning and they look very nice for the price. (Read- they would cover the ugly, rusty wheels for cheap) How can you tell they are 1/2 ton by looking?
And yes to the blue Bowtie.

Charlie, I'm interested in the spare tire/ jack assembly. Do you know what truck this fits or came off?

Thanks

I'm gifted! Just kidding. These hubcaps were on some steel wheels and tires that came with a '72 Blazer I had bought. The blazer then got 33s so I put the tires on several different trucks just to keep the hubs off the pavement. They just happened to be on the '68 C10 I sold Charlie a while back. So, the centers were not cut, they were originally manufactured for a 4X4. FYI, the caps are not perfect but shine up nice and would be great for a driver. Hope that clears things up.

Jason

Wow, you have the birth certificate on those? Nice to know the history.
I am guessing the the 1/2 ton fronts have the tall area and the 3/4 big hub caps do not.
Thanks for the info. Blazer were 15" and truck 16-16.5?
