Rear Cab Cover

Just curious... I had always planned on ordering a 'rear cab cover' for my 49 from Rod Doors when I was ready for my interior. Well, seems this economy killed that business, sadly.

.....So, what are you guys using to cover the area behind your seats? My fuel tank is under the bed.

I see a couple places sell them still, but they are awful expensive for what should be a pretty simple thing.

If any of you have fabbed something to cover that area I'd love to hear what you used - and pics would be cool too

Re: Rear Cab Cover

I think one of the other members posted that the owner of Rod doors was working out of his house. I'll see if I can find.

Re: Rear Cab Cover

^^ that's awesome - well done! So you basically 'framed' it in with small peices of wood, then glassed it?

You skipped a few steps in your picture portfolio Looks very sharp.

I'm resolved to making mine too - I am at the go to the garage and stare at it phase

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
