Check to be sure you have good grounds at both sockets. The # of electrical ???s on this board that have been solved by tracing out a bad ground are almost as numerous as electrical problems period. It seems that over the years many of the ground wires on these trucks get loose or deleted and cause all types of electrical gremlins.

Does it blink in the front and rear, or just one?

Mine does the same thing only either way you turn it it lights boths sides front and back... Very annoying I'm getting tired of using hand signals. Plus, I don't think many people know what the hell I'm doing when I put my arm out the window.

I would suggest working on the light that is dim. It almost has to be a ground. The sockets lose ground between the socket and housing where they are swedged in . With the blinker on and the lens off, use a well grounded wire and touch the socket/bulb to see if it will brighten up.
Is the dim one in front or rear? Jim |

Did you put the bulb in backwards? It's hard to do, but apparently (judging from other cars driving around at night) it can be done.
Turn on your park lights. If the one that was dim when the T/S was on is now brighter than the other side, you've put the bulb in backwards.

Look at the filaments when the turn signal is on. The fatter one should be lighting up, I think. If in doubt, look at the other side and verify that the same filaments are lighting.
You may have a weak wire (gone resistive) or contact. It might also help to clean the part of the socket that contacts the base of the lamp. Sometimes you can bend the sides in a little to get it to work better. Keep us posted! And good luck finding it!!
