Re: '71 Chevy 1/2 4x4
Well I don't think much has really been done since my last update, but so far I've changed the power booster, master cylinder, the little vacuum switch on the back of the trans, and I put in the stock AM/FM radio and took the old one that I had under the dash out. I tell ya though, she is driving a lot better now. The old master cylinder was leaking into the power booster. I was loosing so much break fluid, and had no idea where it was going. Turned out it was going into the booster and then into the engine which is why it was running like crapola. I haven't taken any pix of the new stuff yet. I was going to day but forgot to bring the camera with me to oldiron's shop. I will try to remember to snap some tomorrow.
I'm thinking that I might should go out and take some glamor shots too while I'm at it

Re: '71 Chevy 1/2 4x4
New master cylinder and booster. I forgot to mention; I took 50oz of break fluid out of the old booster.
My new used radio

Re: '71 Chevy 1/2 4x4
Ok so this thread is done.
I just sold the ol' girl I shed a tear watching her drive away. I sure will miss her, but I'll remember her always.

Not sure if I should say congrats or I'm sorry. There will always be more projects. We can always set up a time for you to come work on mine if you miss it too much.

Re: '71 Chevy 1/2 4x4
Thanks!!
We are going to be moving back east to SC. So we decided it best to sell everything that we don't need. Since my trucks are pertinent to us moving and living comfortably I sold the '71 and the '51 is for sale locally. I WILL someday be getting another 67-72 and 47-54.
