Will Torq-Thrust Originals (TTO) fit Disc-Brake Rotors
I read somewhere a while back that they started making the Torq-Thrust D with the curved spokes to miss the caliper.
Did they fix that problem with the new TTO's? I like the straight spokes better than the curved ones. I'm thinking of the 17 x 8's with a 4.5" BS for my truck if they will miss the calipers. Does anyone have the 17's and if so, could you post a pic of them? All I can find is the stock photos and I think they are all 15's placed in the 17" ad. |

Re: Will Torq-Thrust Originals (TTO) fit Disc-Brake Rotors
I'm sure the current manufactired Torq Thrust Original straight spoke (Or "A" spoke shaped) wheels are designed for disc brake caliper clearance in the 15" design and definitely in the larger 17" version.
Gm hasn't had front drum brakes on passenger cars (and trucks) since the late 60's and early 70's. They would be crazy to build a wheel for drum brake applications only. Now,... a set of vintage 14" & 15" wheels might be a different story. Since you are looking for 17" wheels,... you should be fine.
