How to swap front crossmember from 72 to 67 with engine in the way?
I have a donor 72GMC with disc brakes.I would like to install the whole crossmember in my 67 because the control arm bushings are worn. Has anyone ever did this and is it possible with the 350 engine and trans. in truck.

the cross members are pretty much the same. If you just want to swap for disks, just pull all the A-arms and related steering parts off and bolt them up to your cross member. That's what I did on my '69. A-arms, center steering link, spindles are from a '71 and they all bolted up fine to my cross member.

you can use a cherry picker to hold your engine up while you change them out.

LEAVE THE CROSSMEMBER!
Just swap everything else. (everything from the a-arms out)
