Re: 08 Jeep headlights in a square body

its a good idea
I bought my 74 with something special for lights... they looked funky upon inspection they were CIBIE 7" european H4 lights the same lights used in Porsches ets...
they are a steel (chrome plated) reflector and precision molded glass lens.
Bright as hell and NO hotspots! if you look close at the pics you can see them
I took the lens off and used very bright aluminum paint since the reflectors chrome was peely in places... the work the NUTS!

Re: 08 Jeep headlights in a square body

for the xenon units you allso need special starterthingies

this one is for a mercedes there simuliar to neon light and run verry high voltage
there incredibly bleu bright and blind everyone comming at you when its raining
we have a few high end cars running them in europe , most of them have special washer wiper units mounted on the outside to keep the lens clear so the beam doesnt spread and go weird when there raindrops or dirt on it

there are (in europe that is ) allso special bulbs that look like xenonlight , they have the same bleuish light but thats being done by coating the glass on regulair halogen lightbulbs

, these work on regulair wiring and in regulair (european) lightunits

then there are xenon units that work in regulair lights

there illegal in the netherlands , these bulbs burn a LOT hotter than regulair halogen and the reflector for a halogen light isnt made to handle the xenon light (needs some cover inside the unit to stop the direct light from the bulb and only use the light off the reflector and a different prisma cut intoo the glass of the unit )
running these will blind everyone comming or going and whont make you see any better at night

Re: 08 Jeep headlights in a square body

not to beat this to death but how did you add the #1-68018959AA wiring connector to your stock harness?
