Wheels

Does anyone have any information on, have them, or familiar with the M/T Challenger wheel? This is a new wheel, but is no longer being produced. I know that they are out there, but pretty hard to find.

I am looking for a set of 15x8's, if anyone has a lead on them.

Why did they stop making them?
That would have me a bit concerned.

I have talked with the Mickey Thompson people, and they quit carrying them because Alcoa was having trouble delivering. I talked with Desert Rat and got about the same story, and was referred to a third party. They said that Alcoa got a large government contract as part of the Iraq effort, and subsequently could not keep up with their other commitments. There are some wheels around, but they are hard to find. There is a push for someone else to produce them, but who knows when that may happen?

I found a source for the classic and the challengers, better get them before they are gone if you want a set, I did. Contact me if you are interested. I heard a different story about this, Alcoa and MT have severed ties, mostly due to the use of the MT line name on the new classic II. It is a cast wheel and is nowhere near the quality of the forged Alcoa wheels but it is being marketed in the same line. Just what I was told by somebody on the other side of MT.
