Hey guys and girls!
I'm usually over on the 73-87 board. I've have an 84 GMC K20, that I love. But, I've been looking into getting a 67-72, something different. I've been looking around locally and have found a few long boxes that seem to be pretty cheap for a classic.
My question is what should I be looking for, when I look at these trucks? Where are the trouble spots? I'm not really concerned about the engine/trans/axle, I'm more concerned about body and frame.

As far as rust gos the bottom of the truck along the cab&bed also the top of the back window inside the trucks cab and the inside of the trucks windshield , the cab corners and rocker pandles , doors, hood, front fenders. and the chevy/gmc engines are great and depends what engine your into and far as transmissions there was three diffent automatics the 2speed powerglide and hydra-matic TH350 and the TH400. the maual transmissions were the standard 3speed on the steering wheel column and the optional 3speed transmission has overdrive with a 4:11 rear axle ratio grear. the two diffent 4speed transmissions CHEVROLET 4speed that has Reverse on the leftside of the transmission and the NEW PROCESS 4speed transmission where R is on the rightside of the transmission. rear axles the trucks used two diffent rear axles the first one called the Eaton that had the H110s , H052s , H035s. the rear grearing is 6:17. 5:38. 5:14. 4:57. 4:11. 3:73. 3:07. The other rear axle is the Dana that had the 60 and the 44. the rear grearing is 5:13. 4:56. 4:10. 3:73. 3:54. 3:08. i may be missing some of the rear grearing numbers. and i will not say ever thing so some of the others able to say somting or somthing i mist
