They are not reproduced for the 60-63 clusters. Have to find an NOS or used.

Re: 62 gauge lens

Hopefully i can find one. The one i have is in great shape but is lightly scratched from all the years of cleaning. Has any one tried using a headlight restoring kit to polish the plastic? Back of len is undamaged just the front. I will try it to see how it turns out.

Re: 62 gauge lens

get yourself some acrylic polish from a plastic distributor ( taps Plastics ) or go to Eastman restoratons site, it will polish out.

This.

Quite the pain in the ass, but the results can be amazing.

Re: 62 gauge lens

yes be very careful on the back. I just used water and news paper. Oh yeah how can anybody make there own??? Attached is what i use for all sorts of polishing, I used a 3" foam pad attached to a drill slow speed to get water spots of glass and it does a very good job on the paint. It did miracles on my len.

Re: 62 gauge lens

here a few after pictures of 10 minutes with a above pictued compound,3" foam pad and a 18 volt Dewalt on slow speed. Then final hand applied 3M lens polisher/protector. Please note than i haven't taken the guage back apart to clean the back of lens again, as i will wait upon final assembly.

Re: 62 gauge lens

The white paint is easy to touch up on the back if it comes off.
