tank clean up
I'm putting my motor back in and don't want hook it up to a forty year old fuel tank with who knows what in it. So how do I clean it out? I was thinking tip it upside down and take the water hose to it, or is that just stupid?

a pressure washer is alot better as well as a mixture of industrial grade soap/ or take to the carwash
if it is rusty inside swimming pool acid works well to prep it for tank coating

I've also heard (and what I did) of putting rocks with some hot water in there and shaking it around to get the rust (if any) out of there. This will also clean out any other things that might be in there. Idk if it's the best method or recommended but I guess it worked okay for me. It's a two man job though!
