Re: 1 ton dually pics post

Here is my '70 GMC 1 ton with the later model wheels I just got for it at the local Pull-A-Part. I also just picked up an NV4500 5 speed at P-A-P that I am going to put in it. That way, I can drive it on the highway at the speed limit without turning the engine at 5000 rpm all the time (4:10 rear end).

Is the NV4500 a direct bolt in? Will you need to cut down the drive shaft?

Trucks72, that is sweet.

farmal, can you post some side view shots of your truck? I'm interested to see how those side tanks look with the long wheelsbase. Thx

Re: 1 ton dually pics post

I recently picked up a '72 1-Ton, although it's currently being set up for a '67/'68 front clip, and I have a question for some of you. Concerning fuel tanks, it looks like farmall has some side tanks. MYGMCANDME and farmtrucks, I can't really tell where the fuel tank is, as least in these pictures. trucks72, you have a really nice looking lift-bed and tool box on the driver's side. Is that another tool box on the passenger side? And, if so, where is your fuel tank. I'm just curious, the fuel tank style and location is just one of many questions I'm sure I'm going to have in the near future. I'll have to add a picture of my 1-Ton when I get to the house!

For the first time in forever, not a single 67-72 Chevy truck, Blazer, or Suburban on the property! Basically retired and getting the new Motorhome ready for some traveling. Doing a bit of work on the house getting it ready to sell! LOL!!
