Starting my 71 project
im getting some chevelle rear springs and gonna cut the fronts will see what the rear malibu springs do first before i cut the fronts , was wondering on rear will i need adjustable track bar ? then its off to new set of heads since these ones im hopiong are cracked after driving truck for a year it started taking on water as much as 3 or 4 quarts in about 20minutes lol ,, and i changed head gaskets to make sure it wasnt blown , i know i should have had the heads checked ,, but getting some vortecs then off to body work cause by that time should be summer here ,,,

Re: Starting my 71 project
not sure on a color its been in my mind for 3 years on a truck this style i still have a 56 chevy truck sitting in primer , all the body was done for 2 years ,, i find five colors and then see them either on the road or in a google search , but was thinking a sherbert kinda cream orange with a vanilla creame top ,.. or maybe the original blue , i found a few really cool pearl greens , too

Re: Starting my 71 project
Thanks, they look good. Don't know about the filler panel on a widebody, a stepside has 2 small splash pans between the bed and bumper.

Re: Starting my 71 project
looks like a good project. and yes there are some pans that go behind the bed to fill the gap to the bumper. I took the original ones off my 67 short fleetside. Where did I put those things?..........

Re: Starting my 71 project
cool i was looking on lmc and i seen those , would need something in the center of the two to cover that part also ,, or ill just make something ,, im still waiting on my chevelle rear coils to lower it before i cut the front springs , .. then i gotta pull the heads back off for some new ones ,..and last year i had some rubbers and they were isntalled on the front windshield and they still leak , ? any one know of a good brand they were the new old stock ones in the gm bag but it seams like the front windshield is to long and a slight bubble on the side it dont fit tight aroudn the frame so it leaks all on bottom
