sometimes we drive the 542 truck the other one is in storage (just not enough enclosed parking room here anymore), as far as fast goes at 80 mph in high gear at about 1/3 the throttle it has no problem putting both of the rear tires up in smoke, we've never even had it past half throttle.

I got to sit in that thing once

Quite comfortable with that '99-up style seat in it.

Now if I'd only gotten to sit in it while it was running...

That truck is GORGEOUS. The pics don't do it justice.

Keep up with the pictures; I think most of the guys here would love to see what else is in the shop there.

Hey Rick ... couple of question for ya.

1.) What type of column is that? (Flaming River, Ididit, Billet Specialties)

2.) What power window kit did you use?

the column is an original tilt that was tore apart and had all the pieces plated, I originally remembered it as an Ididit but it is not

the window kit is made by electric life (we also sell them)

and that is a friend of the family that helps us out at the
shows / swap meets (with her just being there helps draw in a crowd even if the people don't own a truck)

smoke it up

OK,
Here are some pics of the blue truck smoking it up and I want everyone to know the problems these pictures created (thats why we did it on our property). After we got the pics taken and hurried up and put the truck back in the garage and started sweeping up piles of rubber, the smoke detectors in the house went off and alerted the alarm company. While we were on the phone with the alarm company so they wouldn't call the fire department, 2 Mesa police cars stop by to make sure everyone was alright because the smoke covered the street in the background and made the house look like it was on fire.

we hope you enjoy the pics because I don't know if we can get away with trying it again.

Shawn

YES.

That's all I have to say to that.

(Well, that, and it looks like Rick was more than happy to have a reason to set a photo like that up. )

another project

Yes, when I brought the idea up he got all excited and started planning where to do it at.

Here is a few pics of a 55 Belair (I know it's not a truck) that we are putting a 93 LT1 and a 4L60E in, next time I get it outside the shop I will take a few pics of the body.

man you got to do something about traction for that beast, how do you get a good run in the 1/4 mile without shreading the tires, what a gorgeous truck

we don't have any plans to run for time, it would probably destroy the rear end (again) and everything under the truck, and since everthing under the truck including the bottom of the cab and bed are done in silver/black vein powdercoat, there is to much money at stake to try it.

That's the one with ghost flames in it, right? I was too busy drooling on that beautifully polished LT1 (a far cry from the one in my brother's Camaro, which has a fair coating of Arizona real estate...rather have a dirty, running engine than a clean one that needs a new ignition, though!) to notice them. My girlfriend caught 'em, though.

Have you ever even had that truck on a chassis dyno?
