Georgia...Need some help installing PB hood hinges

I have a welder but have never welded sheet metal so I'm pretty scared to take this on myself. Anyone around Lawrenceville GA that could help me out? I'm willing to pay for your gas to get here.

Dang it !

Gimme a time and an address... I'll offer up what I can.
Did you get the cab onto the frame last weekend?

Welding is always about patience and low heat... and then endless detail work. None of which I am familiar with

In fact... (trying to think ahead)...
heck, if you're in the garage all day tomorrow (Friday)...
I'll swing by in the afternoon.

I figure Sunday will be lost to the race, but Saturday can be used to continue Friday's destruction.

Re: Georgia...Need some help installing PB hood hinges

As cdowns said get some scrap sheet metal the same gauge as what you are working with and get your wire speed and voltage dailed in, then practice, practice, practice.. Once you get your welder set up it will help you out a lot. Wish i lived close to you guys, seems like there is no one in this neck of the woods that wants to get togather or help out anyone else. Seems like everyone in this area would rather stay behind there keyboard than come out and lend a hand face to face. I would be more than willing to help anyone out if i could, even though i work 6-days a week usually. I commend you guys on that! Off my soapbox now, good luck with your project. Joseph
