Help with the cowl hood please????????????

I have a problem. I have a 1970 Blazer that I put a 1968 front clip. I had the clip but no hood. But that wasn't a problem because I wanted a cowl hood anyways. The goodmark cowl hood had a bracket on the hood but no bolt that holds it down. I took one over but it want into the hole without threading it, too small. My question is "Do the cowl hoods came wth brackets or did he possibly put on the wrong bracket on it" Any help would be helpful, thanks.

Re: Help with the cowl hood please????????????

I'm REAL confused by your post. Not sure if I can help because I'm not sure what you're asking. Maybe someone else can help or maybe you can be more specific about what you're trying to d. What bracket are you working on? My hood came with NO brackets or hardware. It was the sheetmetal only and I had to use all of the hardware from my old hood.

Wish I could be more help for ya.

I'm talking about the bracket that is on the front of the hood. It holds the bolt that has a cone shaped end that goes into the latch assembly. The bolt I used was from a 1972 GMC. Are all the years the same on that piece?
