What is it worth? 1970 with 18's

I am debating selling my truck to possibly start a new project.
How much should I ask? It has the original 350/350 with only 135K. I have redone the interior in black, Installed white face with new tach. The paint is new, but does need to be touched up a bit. New exhaust (Magnaflows) with headman headers. I could include a Cam with rocker arms,Intake and Holley 650 Polished carb. I also have an HEI distributor,New double roller chain,Chrome timing cover,New chevy orange Oilpan, and the gasket set. I also have a new Stall convertor and seal.

I have alot invested, but am getting itchy to start something new.
What should I ask?

As usual, Any help would be appreciated.

$5-$7k easily in my opinion....maybe more if you touched up the engine bay a little bit. Nice truck....i dunno if i could get rid of a beauty like that!

Thanks for the advice!!. I will touch up the engine compartment.
I love the truck, but am just getting the itch to start something else. It also has power door locks.

I've always liked your truck. You gotta know what you got into it. If you can come out ahead with asking 5-7, do it. I think it looks like a lot of trucks that the owners are asking 7+ to me.

Good luck

David

Thanks griesel72! Yeah I would like to get at least what I got into it. $6700. Alot of the money I have in it is wheels and tires. The body work I did with my Dad, so I only have about $1000 into the body and paint.

If I throw in all the extra engine stuff, then I got about $7100 into it.

I dont necessarily have to make money on it, but I would like to come out even if nothing else....

Thanks Casey. Man you are telling me on the labor hours. If we all charged our time on our trucks to what we make at our jobs, we would probably all be very wealthy!!

Thanks for the compliment..

how long have you had it finished? I hope you got to cruise in it, I bet its a real head turner, I atleast hope you got to enjoy it before you sell it, cause I know hooked a guy can get on just the restoration part, you got to drive them too. a buddy of mine finished a 67 impala about a yr ago and he won't drive it, he just loves the wrenchin part, I'm not lecturing just rambling

Thanks for all the advice, I think I'll put it up for 7K.
I appreciate the inputs, and will miss it if I sell it.
But if I sell it, whatever it is replaced with will be FAST!!!!

Yeah Casey, it has been my daily driver for a couple of years now, so I got to cruise in it alot. That is why I need to brush up the paint a little. I also have a chip in my window that needs attention.

I dont think I could work on something that I dont drive. The guy's with those nice rides at the shows must go nuts or have a lot more control than me....I got to drive it!!

Keep it, it is a nice truck and you will be sorry if you let it go. What is the steering wheel out of? I like the way it looks.

I bought it on ebay for $9, and it is out of a late model
Cavalier I believe. It is one of the most comfortable wheels
I have ever had. I'll definitely put another one in my next
vehicle. It is padded in the right spots..

A truck like that would run near $10,000 up here. But that's also in Canadian dollars, so about $7000 US sounds right I've always loved the look of that truck
