Single wheel to dually
I'm new to this board, but been around 73-87 Chevys for years. Here is my question: I have a buddy that wants to make his single wheel 3/4 ton into a dually. It is a 1980 Chevy 3/4 ton 2wd with a 14 bolt ff. Will we need to put in longer wheel studs to mount dual wheels?? Thanx in advance

Re: Single wheel to dually
You will need Dually C30 hub and rotors for the front. If he is going to use a dually style pickup box, the rear will need either spacers or an axle change to the wider Dually Dana 70 axle.

Re: Single wheel to dually
Yeah he is going to keep the regular eight bolt. Front wheels & rotors,so it's just the rears that will be changed. Will start looking for a dually 14 bolt or Dana 70.

Re: Single wheel to dually
i think Arrowcraft has adaptors where you wouldn't need extended studs.

Re: Single wheel to dually
As stated get 3" wheel spacers and you will be good to go.
