worth saving blazer doors or not

I have a set of factory blazer doors (I know they were all truck doors at one time) I picked up and was wondering if it is worth patching the doors and save a set of blazer doors.
The drivers side door on my blazer now was a truck door and has ZERO rust, the passender side did have the lower shell patched and the body guy didn't do a great job IMO but keepable and is now rust free.
The outer skins on blazer doors do have some dings and the lower shells do have some rust, not gone though, fixable.
If I take the latch reinforcements from the blazer doors and weld them on my current doors then the blazer doors are trash or I could sell the blazer doors and buy some reinforcements for mine and make back some cash for the project.
Ill post pics of them tomorrow. any opinions. What are blazer doors worth that need a little patching? Thanks, Eli

Re: worth saving blazer doors or not

Keep in mind that Blazer doors also have the screws below the wing windows which keep the inner and outter skins from spreading apart. Truck doors do not have these, and have a tendancy to begin spreading apart after a while when they have been cut down. So the Blazer doors do have some value, even if they have some rot.

I think shipping would be a killer, but since youre centrally located in the states, that might work to your advantage. Most of your customers would be on the right coast, not much rust out west

Yes, I've thought about shipping, what would that cost? but I know that somebody out may want "real" blazer doors. I could always use some extra $ for project. But I want to find a set of latch reinforcements before I would let them go.

Re: worth saving blazer doors or not

here are some pics of drivers side blazer door, It is the less rusty of the two but has more dings in the door. The outer skin also as a problem area in the lower corner. The tab that connets the outer skin to the shell up by the vent wing where the screw goes through is broken. and the top of the inside of door has some dings.

Re: worth saving blazer doors or not

The passenger side has a little more rust issues on the bottom shell but skin is in better shape. They look to have been on a CST blazer as well. Are they worth keeping? worth selling? I just don't want to junk them and Im not sure if I want to put the time into them when I already have two straight cut down truck doors.

What are these doors worth? I would like to put them forsale section but am unsure what they are worth. This is not an ad to sale them. When I put them in the forsale section is when I will be ready to sale. Thanks

I thought that the screws you are talking about were 72 only, my 71 had what appeared to have the original doors complete with latch plate and lots of rot.

Re: worth saving blazer doors or not

my 71 doors had the screws....they have plastic grommets in the earlier years...not the metal sleeve like 72 truck doors....
